Thoughts from a MRI Travel Tech: After one year of traveling!
Share
I wouldn't trade this decision for any staff job. Getting to be a travel MRI tech has been one of the most rewarding decisions I have made. To anyone out there looking for a sign to start traveling and take the leap... THIS IS YOUR SIGN!
Just some of my favorite parts of being a travel MRI tech:
- Learning new brands of scanners (and becoming fast at scanning on them)
- Meeting new people! - some of which have become lifelong friends
- Living in a new state every few months - seems scary at first but once you get settled in, it's so much fun to drive (or walk) around and explore the city. Trying delicious new restaurants is always something I look forward to.
- The money - duh!
- Learning new protocols and doing exams I may have never done before
- Showing off my scanning and patient care skills!
- Getting to learn from different radiologists
If these sound like things that you would enjoy too... consider checking out my blog post on how to decide if you should take the leap into travel:
